‘Tis the season to be jolly, fa la la la la, la la la la! 🎶

This is the most wonderful time of the year when families celebrate and enjoy each other’s company. What’s not to love about Christmas? The presents, the food, the decorations, the parties… it’s all so magical!

And why is reading important this holiday season for book lovers? For this reason, curling up with a good book [and a hot cup of your preferred beverage] is the best pastime!

There are also many reasons why reading is a great activity to do at Christmas time.

Firstly, it may be a great way to escape the holiday season’s bustle. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by all the Christmas parties and shopping, simply pick up a book and transport yourself to another world for a while.

Secondly, reading can help you learn more about other cultures and religions. Christmas is when many people celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, but it’s also when people of other faiths celebrate holidays such as Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. Reading can help you understand and appreciate these different traditions.

And finally, reading can provide some much-needed light relief from all the Christmas TV specials. If you’re looking for an alternative to all the feel-good Christmas movies, why not try a Christmas-themed book instead?
